Strategic Planning and Qualitative Research
The Foundation for Community Health sought assistance in elevating its advocacy strategy to better educate policymakers and other stakeholders about the underlying social, economic, and environmental issues that impact the health and well-being of residents in the rural areas of Litchfield Hills of CT and the Harlem Valley of NY. Megan, in partnership with CJ Collaborations, interviewed the Foundation’s Board members and subject matter experts, conducted focus groups among grantees, and developed an asset map of the region to provide actionable recommendations for the Foundation to strengthen advocacy for its community.
The National Partnership for Women & Families needed assistance in conducting a qualitiative review of the effectiveness of maternity care payment reform in improving the health of pregnant people and reducing the inequities that plague the maternal health system. Megan provided qualitative research through structured interviews, analysis, writing, subject matter expertise and strategic guidance. The California Department of Health Care of Health Care Access and Information, Office of Health Care Affordability (OHCA) sought assistance in standing up a legislative mandate to implement a health care cost growth target. Megan provided subject matter expertise, strategic guidance and meeting facilitation under a subcontract to Bailit Health.

The Child Health Partnership wanted to update its mission, vision and values statement to more closely align with the work of the organization, and to recognize its efforts to support diversity, equity and inclusion. Megan provided strategic planning to update their core mission, vision and values, and facilitate Board meetings.
